@thorntonandblake are a passionate team of designe @thorntonandblake are a passionate team of designers and interior specialists with more than 25 years of experience, creating thoughtfully curated homes that reflect the personalities of the people who live in them. For this project, interior designer Fiona Harding, part of the Thornton & Blake team, envisioned a versatile living space with two distinct zones: one dedicated to reading and conversation and the other designed as a media retreat. The result is a cohesive yet flexible environment that allows this large family to enjoy different activities while remaining connected within the same expansive space. Located in Winmalee, in the beautiful Blue Mountains, this project is a wonderful example of Thornton & Blake’s considered approach to design. Lauren Egan is a Melbourne/Naarm based interior de Lauren Egan is a Melbourne/Naarm based interior decorator specialising in creating homes that feel genuinely personal and thoughtfully curated. Established in 2018, the studio works with discerning homeowners who understand that a beautiful home isn’t about following trends, it’s about creating spaces that reflect how you actually live. Here is one of Lauren’s amazing projects located at Mount Sturgeon Homestead. It’s a spectacular 1800’s colonial house set on a working farm on the edge of Dunkeld, with sweeping views of Wurgarri (Mount Sturgeon). Part of the @royalmailhotel the homestead is undergoing a rejuvenation that honours place and history while enhancing comfort for guests. The brief for the sitting room was to transform the space into a welcoming retreat that celebrates the surrounding landscape.
